There Are A Million Things To Be Grateful For

by Jane
(U.S.)

When you stop and look at the events that make up your day there are a million things you can find to be grateful for, and of course family and friends are at the top of that list, but here's a few more.

I am grateful for my super comfy bed and the fact that I can slept deeply, knowing I am safe.

As I open my eyes in the morning, I am grateful for another opportunity to live out my dreams, knowing in my heart that anything is possible.

As my feet touch the carpet, I flex my toes and test my muscles, feeling grateful for the fact my body is healthy and can carry me anywhere my head wants to go.

When the hot water finally comes out of shower, I am grateful for the warmth it brings and the fact that it's clean and safe to drink.

If I ever get frustrated (as women sometimes do :) feeling "I have nothing to wear", it snaps me back to reality and into being thankful for the multitude of "things" I do have. It reminds me that it's not the clothes that make the man or woman, but how you're feeling about yourself that makes all the difference.

When I open the refrigerator and am bombarded by choices of what to eat, I am so grateful for the abundance and try not to waste anything.

This list could go on and on but you get the point. It's about being in the moment and loving what you have right now.

At a business meeting, this guy who was to present got up and said one line and that one line always puts a smile on everyone's face. He said,

"Something Good is going to happen to you today, so watch for it".

Hi Jane, something good happened to me today. your post. Thanks so much. Didn't realize how tired I was until you spoke about your bed. Mike

Track Your Calorie Loss on Your Smart Phone?

Will My Phone Tell Google? Or My Mom?

This Body Media tool looks very exciting to me. I really could use immediate feedback about my food choices, and even an old "how-does-this-thing-work?" cell phone noobie like myself could handle this. I can record my food use and get real time feedback about calorie burn vs calorie intake? Very efficient, and just the motivation I need.
