I Remember That So Well
by: Ask Mike

Hello Ada,

Congratulations on your choice and your degree soon to come. I too was really motivated to do well in school as a "non-traditional student" as the called us older folks, and really put huge parts of my life and friendships on hold to do well in school, and at times I wondered about professional relationships as well, since I had to keep choosing between classes and studying and conferences, ect. I choose to trust that I would be able to develop relationships with mentors after graduation, and that is what did happen. So while at times getting that degree is a lonely proposition, rest assured that many wonderful professional relationships and collaborations will flow from your new career. Please let me know how it is going. Mike
