Jonah Steinhaus, MA, MFT, CCMHC

We have a lot in common, I think; although the differences may be profound. I'm a 74 year old, retired psychotherapist from Los Angeles, a partially paralyzed stoke-survivor, living with my wife who is experiencing early stage dementia, and residing in an assisted-living community.. Phew! Trying to be 'economical', I guess.
I took particular notice of your web-site after learning about your experience with counselor education. Back in the '90's I was one of the founders and first members of AMHCA, and was Chair of the Academy (NACCMHC) for decade or so.
But that was long ago and many rivers have been crossed.
Like you, I believe, the best is yet to come and what I'm looking forward right now is my blog at http://www.LeagueOfGrey.wordpress.com. I've nevehr fancied myself an entrepreneur, you've got that market well cornered, although I had a practice for about 15 years. My medical issues, and my wife's, take a lot of my time. But the mind has to have a life, too! Blogging is my connection to the professional community and I've corresponded to some other professionals in allied occupations. Its a living, a 'process'.
I've added you to my blog-roll in the 'resources' section, although I'm still 'under construction'. One handed, two fingered, arthritic typing gives me an acceptable level of challenge. But I'm getting it done, G'dammit (He said, with a grimace!)
I love your story of later-life challenge and success. And I'm glad to have meet you; especially through the creative medium of blogging.
