I am extremely excited to find this community/site for the incredible number of folks struggling with debt, including my wife and I. While I have not been into every forum and looked at every page, I really am attracted to the idea of a community of people supporting each other through a difficult experience, like being overwhelmed with debt. In other words, if you sign-up for a call from a debt consolidation specialist, they will call you quickly and you can expect a business presentation, so before you do that, take a look in the forums and become very familiar with the community. There are forums, blogs, a debt wiki, chat, articles, video, DIY resources (very empowering), calculators, books, software, and FAQ's for review. You can become a mentor if you choose, called a "debt angel" I believe, and you can even earn money for certain services undertaken on the site.
